WORLD TRAVEL – Beijing China (Forbidden City / Tiananmen Square)

Today as we World Travel in Asia, we continue our adventure in Beijing. The day was so eventful that I had to split it out in two videos. This video is the tour of the Forbidden city and Tiananmen Square and a tea tasting ceremony.

Part 2 will be the visit to The Great Wall.

Truth 1. The emperors lived in Forbidden City donot have 3000 concubines. For Qing’s emperors, the number may differs from a few to dozens of.
Truth 2. The Forbidden City have 8400-8700 rooms depends on how you count it.

some figures like 3, 3000, in China just mean a lot, while number 9 and 9999 mean the largest number in 1-digits or 4-digits which represent too many and one cannot image. These are not used to express the real number, they are just literature words and legendary popular story.
