Best Things to Do in Munich | Restaurants, Sightseeing, and More

New video just released: “NYC in Autumn | A New Yorker’s tips on the best things to do” –~–
Today I’m sharing the best things to do in Munich, Germany. For even more suggestions see my full Munich guide here:

I explored Munich with Simply Munich and they showed me the top bars, restaurants, breweries, activities, sightseeing, and more. I also discuss the trendy hotel I stayed at (25 hours Hotel), and the importance of exploring with a guidebook. During my trip I met Amadeus the author of the Munich Marco Polo guidebook and he shared his top tip for visitors with me. If you enjoyed this video, please subscribe!

For easy and fast transportation between Germany’s cities I recommend Rail Europe. They now have a new fast train route from Munich to Berlin.

You didn’t address anything about the local football culture. It’s kind of a big deal to the Munich people. The Allianz Arena and Säbener Straße definitely are worth seeing too.

Simon Naylor says:

Do you live there Sarah? Great vid! Do you know if you can bring your own food to the beer garden at the English Garden?
You should do a vegan tour of Munich. Even if you aren’t vegan, it will get lots of views and you might enjoy it! I’ll be hitting my third Oktoberfest next week, and also doing a brewery/craft beer tour and a vegan tour at the same time. yeah! Munich!

Scar Elements says:

I like the fact that you really got into doing stuff in munich. but as a person that lives in munich, I hope no ones comes here its way too crowded… And there is the Oktoberfest too… 🙁

Great video, there were quite a few things I did‘nt know although I live here. My favorite things to do in Munich: In summer, jump into the Eisbach river at a spot just a few meters downstream from the surfers, and let the strong current take you through the English garden. A good place to get to know locals of all ages is the Alte Utting, a ship that crosses a railway bridge, where you can drink your beer on the upper deck while having a great view over the city.

Rolscho Lukku says:

I live in Munich

Sal-Man says:

You might wanna reconsider calling the 1972 Olympics the “happy games”, considering that eleven jewish athletes got murdered by palestine terrorists during the event.

Did she really just recommend craft beer in Bavaria?? NO !! Drink Augustiner!

malik abuyusef says:

U a woman and u drink a lot??? Is’t normal ?

Soetpotatis says:

What about Königsplatz? NS Dokumentations Zentrum? Fröttmanning? Odeonsplatz? Friedensengel? Deutsches Museum? There is plenty of sights outside of Munich as well. There are tours going to Neuschwanstein from the main railway station, Therme Erding, Dachau and plenty of other sights you didn’t even mention. The video is very basic and doesn’t show anything special. My suggestion to viewers is to research it online and see what interests you the most since there is a lot to be seen. I have lived there for 4 months and I haven’t seen it all so yeah…
