I went solo backpacking around Central America for 6 weeks, travelling through Mexico, Belize and Guatemala.
This 3 part documentary series shows the entire backpacking experience.
From the fun activities, beautiful sites, crazy parties, to the exhausting journeys and the good, bad and ugly hostels.
In this first video I fly into Cancun, Mexico, then made my way to Tulum to check out the cenotes. After this I chilled out at the beautiful Lake Bacalar before crossing the border into Belize.
Caye Caulker island was a great place to chill and party, as well as do some incredible snorkelling. From here I took a 3 day island-hopping boat tour with Ragamuffin tours along the Belize Barrier Reef.

Another great episode, Karl. I really do use your videos to get ideas about where to go or to get some tips. Never even considered Belize until seeing this.
Met the ancestors of all life on the planet, drank and swam like a (drunk) fish, ate some plant relatives at a vegan restaurant, lived on an island… Really getting in touch with your primal side there Karl!
been following every video so far.. I love the way you take us with you!
Don’t usually comment on videos but just wanted to let you know how much you’ve inspired me and filled me with confidence to take the leap and go on my first solo travel! Can’t thank you enough for your amazing content, keep it coming!

Such a nice documentary, I arrived just when you left. Sadly my SD card case got stolen on my last week in Central America. So from Bacalar to Semuc-Champey almost everything is lost. So it is nice to see these shots, as I did some similar things and it reminds me of the good times. Thanks

Wonderful episode Karl, always look forward to your videos.
About the question regarding feeding the sharks – As it’s a tourist spot they shouldn’t be feeding the wildlife. It’s many boats at different hours every single day.
Well they forgot their moto was only to have fun and observe.
