No big adventures this week but equally important is preparation for your next big trip out to San Francisco! Here is a local’s advice on things any visitor should know beforehand — what activities you should book in advance, how to pack, advice on transportation, avoiding the seedier elements of the city, and the best itineraries that will optimize your experience.

This video is very-very informative, thank you very much. I have a big Q. We will be staying at ain AirBNB in Oakland. Which is the best way to go to the Fishermans Wharf? We are going to go to Alcatraz and we want to check out downtown SF as well. We will have a rental car.
thanks!
Arriving on the rth Sept.thanks for sharing tips.
Going there this Friday thank you.
Really well made video
I loved your tips! Thanks!
Good insight 🙂 I’m looking forward to visiting all these places later in Aug. Thanks for the video!
I am coming for shopping. can you recomend me a good place for that? or should I go to another place? around california? any ideas? thank you
Hi an excellent Vlog.I will be in SF for three days in Oct 18,can you guide on some budget hotels ,I am a solo traveller. Also like chicago does SF has a city pass which can be used on all types of public transport. Thanks
If you are going to San Francisco, be sure to watch where you walk, no matter what season it is.
Great video. You’ve really nailed San Francisco. I visited (from Australia) for the first time in May. I loved it. In many ways, it felt much like my home town of Sydney, maybe because of waterside location. Even the people looked and felt like Sydneysiders. I’ll definitely be going back for a longer visit.
The muni looks easy enough to use. Do I just download the app and pay on there? Or bring cash?
We will be staying in San Fransisco for a couple of nights but wanted to go to Six Flags one day. What would be the best way to get there and back?
That was very good. Even as someone who lives in the Tenderloin…I have to admit this is accurate.
Thanks zeene for very informative video. My queries are. Is there any hop on hop off service available? Do you know any day tour to silicone valley? Or can i go myself alone? What will be the public transport for the same?
this is an excellent presentation, both style and content
You are unfortunately incorrect and horribly misinformed about the SF arts and cultural scene… it is alive, vibrant and diverse as any great city… many pre-Broadway shows try out in SF; Wicked is probable the most famous and successful example. SF Opera and Symphony, SF Moma and the DeYoung museums as well as the Exploratorium and CA Academy of Sciences are World Class… many cultural icons and phenomena are born in the SF Bay Area! You do your viewers a terrible mis-service by making such an ignorant statement…
Thank you, very helpful video
Hey People don’t go to San Francisco unless You want to get grossed out. I’ve been going to San Francisco all MY life and will never go again. First of all You can’t get there without HOURS of TRAFFIC, and then it is GROSS if You make it. Homeless People all over and they SHIT on the sidewalks and in the streets and Who knows what else besides doing drugs like using needles. I am not exaggerating one bit.
Many thanks, I will travel SFO on Oct. Actually this is my first travel ever in US. I decided bring more cloth after watch your video.
Update: The eScooter shares have been temporarily halted by the city of San Francisco pending negotiations on how to regulate the service (so they are currently not available). You can however rent bikes for any point-to-point needs.
Obrigada pelas informações. Um beijo do Brasil. =D
Thank you very much
Damn homeless people are messin’ up my city!!
This is the first video I have watched about SF, with a view to a visit next year as part of a road trip down the PCH. (We live in UK) It has been very very helpful – thank you! Presumably we can get transport from SFO to the city and then pick up a hire car following our stay to drive south?
